Dr. Sultana N. Nahar continues to champion STEM education and forging collaboration between The Ohio State University and institutions in the Middle East with numerous achievements. In July 2026, she participated in the University of Jordan’s 3rd Honorary Professors Forum in Amman, where she joined other President-appointed Honorary Professors for discussions on research innovation, entrepreneurship, AI, technology-integrated education, health biotechnology, and international partnerships. As an astrophysicist with expertise in stellar cores she presented on the study of the Sun and its scientific importance, while also discussing future STEM collaborations with university leadership. 

Dr. Nahar's support of STEM education in Gaza has been unceasing despite, or perhaps because of, the current circumstances in Gaza. Since 2015, she has collaborated with Gaza physicist Dr. Salem Abumusleh, who has helped sustain STEM learning for high school students through tent-school programs. In September 2026, Dr. Nahar was invited to give an inspiring keynote address as Chief Guest for a graduation ceremony honoring female high school students, ages 16–18, who completed an Advanced English course focused on future careers. Dr. Nahar continues to expand the International Society of Muslim Women in Science (ISMWS), which she founded, through the launch of a new chapter at the University of Barishal in Bangladesh. The chapter’s inauguration included student competitions, public recognition of outstanding female STEM students, media coverage, and an introductory video created by students. Dr. Nahar supported the effort through guidance, funding for recognitions, and a keynote address. ISMWS now includes more than 500 members across 34 countries, with chapters in multiple regions, and recently held an international symposium for International Women’s Day 2026.
