Update on Afghanistan: Director shares insights from latest trip

Join the Director of the Middle East Studies Center, Dr. Alam Payind, tomorrow at 12:30 to hear about his latest trip to Afghanistan.  The Assistant Director of the Center, Melinda McClimans, will interview him for a half hour, then we will open the online conference space to questions. 

The Director will report on what he recently did in Afghanistan, and the insights he gained from faculty and students at Kabul University, the in-coming and out-going mayors of Kabul, and the President of Afghanistan, Dr. Ashraf Ghani.  Dr. Payind attended the opening ceremony of the Afghan-India friendship dam in Herat, attended by Indian Prime Minister Modi.
