The Area Studies Centers at The Ohio State University cordially invite faculty directors and staff of Title VI-funded National Resource Centers (NRCs) to attend the 2013 NRC Evaluation Conference to be held in Columbus, Ohio. This conference will explore strategies for using evaluation to enhance federally-funded National Resource Centers. With increasing demand for accountability, NRCs face the challenge of demonstrating program outcomes through a continuous, systematic approach to evaluation. In a national review of foreign languages and area studies programs, the National Research Council (2007) called for collaboration across programs and between the Department of Education and universities to facilitate accomplishment of common goals.
The conference will take place at The Ohio State University, home to four National Resource Centers targeting East Asia, Latin America, Middle East and Russia/Eastern Europe.
Target Audience: NRC faculty and staff administrators; U.S. Dept. of Education representatives
