While in-person teaching and interpersonal skill development is irreplaceable, there are some advantages to online learning for cross-cultural interaction. I will share an e-portfolio template based on stages in intercultural awareness development, and provide related learning activities and assessment rubrics. I piloted these activities with Dr. Danielle V Schoon as part of her Turkish 2241 class in Fall of 2017, which validated a staged approach to building cultural knowledge.
