The Institute for the Study of the Ancient World (ISAW) is a center at NYU for advanced scholarly research and graduate education. Their mission is to encourage particularly the study of the economic, religious, political and cultural connections between ancient civilizations. 

ISAW is hoping to recruit visiting scholars for a variety of positions from a diverse applicant pool. They would especially welcome applications from scholars with a history of interdisciplinary exchange and scholars whose academic interests include parts of the ancient Old World that are often underrepresented in traditional academic departments: Africa, Central Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and more.
