Additional Information: Karl Pinggéra is Professor for Eastern Christian History at the Department of Protestant Theology at the University of Marburg. Pinggéra earned his "Dr. Theol." from Marburg University in 2002. His previous position was as a research assistant at the University of Bonn (2000-2002) where he took part in the edition of the World Chronicle of Julius Africanus. His areas of interest include the history and theology of the Eastern-Oriental churches in Late Antiquity and Early Islam, the legacy of Syriac Christian mysticism, as well as the history of ecumenical relations between Protestant and Orthodox churches.

Additional Information: Salih Memecan is a prominent Turkish cartoonist. Memecan's daily agenda includes a political cartoon strip, Bizimcity, on the front page, a comics cartoon strip, Sizinkiler, on the back page of the daily Sabah newspaper. The animated version of Bizimcity takes place daily on the prime-time news program on  ATV. Memecan also submits weekly cartoons to Aktuel, news magazine. He created his cartoon strip Sizinkiler 17 years ago. Today, it has become the most popular cartoon strip with over 1.8 million in book sales. Salih Memecan received his Ph.D. in architecture from the University of Pennsylvania as a Fulbright scholar (1983). His BA and MA degrees in architecture are from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey. His cartoons appeared in major U.S. newspapers including the New York Times, the Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, the Baltimore Sun, the Philadelphia Inquirer.
